Cost of losses of the Russian troops in Ukraine
In addition to the statistics available on our website about the losses of the enemy — the armed forces of the Russian Federation — a new one has appeared: about the cost of military equipment that the Russian army lost during the fighting against Ukraine, starting from February 24, 2022.
Data on the losses of enemy troops are collected on the basis of reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Data on the average cost of equipment lost by Russian troops were taken on the basis of calculations published by Forbes Ukraine. Of course, these calculations are very approximate, and do not claim to be absolutely accurate. Nevertheless, they give an idea of the general order of losses — how many billions of dollars are left in the form of Russian scrap metal in the fields of Ukraine.
